THANK YOU!
Your Request Has Been Submitted

*PLEASE PRINT FOR YOUR RECORDS*

YOUR CLOSING REQUEST HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

Pool closings are included with every Cherry Hill installation within the first year only. Complimentary closing days are limited each week and are arranged around our construction schedule. Because of this, there are no pre-set days for the closings ahead of time. We will do our best to accommodate your requested week and then let you know the Friday prior to the requested week with an estimated day to expect us.

If your complimentary closing occurred last year and your pool cover was not able to be installed, Cherry Hill will return to install the cover before your closing takes place. It is important to let us know when you are having your pool closed so that we may schedule accordingly. If you would like, Cherry Hill can install the cover and close the pool for a fee.

WINTER COVER INFORMATION AND DETAILS

Once Cherry Hill has received your patio details and cover color request, we will email you a quote for the cover including the installation. If your pool requires a custom cover, then we will need to schedule a date to come to the property to take measurements prior to the quote.

Because the winter covers are anchored into the surrounding patio, and, although we do our best to be as careful as possible, Cherry Hill cannot be liable for damage that may occur. If a customer prefers, they may opt to have their mason install the cover instead.

PLEASE NOTE: Winter covers are secured by anchors that are installed into the patio. Therefore if your patio has not been completed by the time of the closing, then the winter cover cannot be installed. All concrete-poured patios must cure for 30 days before being drilled in to. If you have any questions, please contact our offices at 781-826-6886

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR CLOSING!

Prior to our arrival, we ask that:

  • Equipment and pool are accessible (i.e. gates unlocked, etc.)

  • Power to the equipment on

  • Hose & water spigot on and accessible

  • Pool is free of all debris & any pool toys, floats, basketball hoops, etc. are removed from the immediate area

  • PLUGS for the cleaning system are left on site (if applicable). If you have the in-floor cleaning system, you will need to purchase and have these as they are needed for winterizing this system. You can purchase these here on Amazon.

BE PREPARED! If the site is not prepared as noted above,  then the customer will be charged

for both time & travel if a return trip is necessary.

WHAT A CLOSING INCLUDES

  • Draining of pool to a safe level below the skimmer (each site may vary)

  • Winterization of pool equipment and pool pipes

  • Winter chemicals added to water

CHP does not clean your pool at the time of the closing.

TIPS, TRICKS & OTHER HELPFUL INFORMATION

  • Homeowners do not need to be present for the closing.

  •  The lesson that CHP provides for all new pool owners is for the use of the equipment and basic maintenance - it is not for pool openings or closings. There are many instructional videos that can be found on YouTube if you are interested in learning more. If you have not received your included lesson, please contact the office - lessons cannot be scheduled or performed at the same time as an opening or closing.

  • Homeowners should have a submersible pump with a garden hose attachment for when the pool fills above the operating level (i.e. over the top of the skimmer opening). We suggest placing the pump on the first step of the pool to prohibit over-pumping water out of the pool. The water level should never be drained more than 1" below the bottom of the skimmer opening.

  • NOTE: If you are a pool owner on the South Shore, Cape Cod, or Metro West and need future maintenance, openings or closings, please call the office at 781-826-6886 for referrals to companies we recommend in our area.

  • Download Latham Use & Care Manual

  • All auto cover warranty and/or maintenance work needs to be scheduled by Ellis Pool Covers. Please contact them at 508-746-1701

  • Any salt chlorination system, pump, automation, or heater warranty work needs to be scheduled with a Hayward Certified Technician Hayward | Dealer Locator (hayward-pool.com)
